Our Hot Clinic

We offer a "hot clinic" service, where time is reserved for patients that need to be seen urgently (eg. lung cancer, haemoptysis, fall asleep accident evaluation etc). To access this service, the referring doctor can contact one of our Physicians directly via the Greenslopes Hospital (phone 07 3394 7111). Such urgent patients will usually be seen the next day.

Our Bronchoscopy and EBUS service

We have 2 regular Bronchoscopy sessions a week. We have an on-site anaesthetist for sedation for the procedure. Bronchoscopies outside of our 'list' days are easily arranged, and we do this regularly.

Endo-Bronchial Ultra-Sound (EBUS) is a new procedure which involves taking biopsies from lymph nodes under direct ultrasound vision. It is being increasingly utilised in staging of patients with lung cancer and has uses in certain other conditions as well. We now offer this service at Greenslopes Private Hospital.

Our Outpatient service

Both our specialists provide an outpatient service to patients with Respiratory Disorders.

Outpatient services are covered only by Medicare (with an out-of-pocket fee) and not by Health funds . Thus, our outpatients service is not limited to patients with private health cover. The Medicare rebate can be arranged after payment for the service.

Both our Physicians have admitting rights at Greenslopes Private hospital. For patients needing inpatient care, the referring doctor can contact either of our Physicians via our rooms (Phone 07 3324 1699) or after hours via the Greenslopes Hospital (Phone 07 3394 7111).
