Dr Amy Reynolds

Dr Amy Reynolds is a Consultant Respiratory and Sleep Physician working in private practise at Greenslopes Private Hospital.
She graduated with MBBS from the University of Queensland in 2005 and completed her basic physician training at Greenslopes Private Hospital. Her advanced training in respiratory medicine was completed at a variety of hospitals in South East Queensland including Gold Coast Hospital, Mater Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital. Dr Reynolds achieved her FRACP in 2016. Her particular interest areas include bronchiectasis and sleep medicine, which prompted her to complete 2 additional fellowships years. She worked as the Cystic Fibrosis Fellow at The Prince Charles Hospital in 2016 and as the Sleep Fellow at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital/Genesis Sleepcare in 2017.

While working at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, a tertiary maternity hospital, Dr Reynolds developed an interest in sleep apnea during pregnancy. As part of her Sleep Fellow role, she helped to develop educational materials for GPs relating to this topic. Her research interests have included the investigation of factors associated with CPAP compliance and she has been involved in GP education relating to optimisation of CPAP therapy.
Dr Reynolds holds the title of associate lecturer with the University of Queensland. She is a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, Australasian Sleep Association, Lung Foundation Australia and American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Dr Reynolds is available to discuss individual patients’ needs and looks forward to assisting patients, their families and other health professionals in developing individual management plans relating to their respiratory and sleep health.
